For the past two weeks, ever since they were rescued, she’s been feeling sick without explanation. The next morning, Emma awoke nauseous again.

So the two lay in their beds gradually falling asleep wondering the same thing, should they feel guilty? Should they feel guilty for wanting to go back? Emma’s real bed was Dean, and Dean’s home was wherever Emma was. And as they remained dancing in the rain for the rest of the night, neither Emma nor Dean wanted anything more than to be in their lagoon.ĭespite their wishes, the night eventually had to end, and they both went back to their homes that no longer felt like home and into their beds that no longer brought them comfort. He still loved her, and she still loved him. After everything that they had been through, it would have been a travesty had they not reconciled in the rain, proving that they weren’t just each other’s comfort on the island.

As their lips finally parted, Emma looked into Dean’s eyes and smiled. It was a shift to be back home, and neither of the two wanted to have to endure the change without the other. And in that moment, they were both imagining themselves back on the island, in the lagoon.
